  Encontro Nacional de Tratamento de Minérios e Metalurgia Extrativa (ENTMME)

  Desde sua criação, o Encontro Nacional de Tratamento de Minérios e Metalurgia Extrativa (ENTMME) tem se consolidado como um dos principais fóruns de debate e atualização na área minero-metalúrgica no Brasil. O ENTMME é voltado para pesquisadores, profissionais, gestores, professores e estudantes de instituições de ensino e pesquisa dos setores mineral, metalúrgico, ambiental e afins. O evento também objetiva o contato entre empresas de serviços, consultoria e demais profissionais das áreas de mineração, metalurgia e meio ambiente. Composto por um grande fórum de debates, o encontro busca, a cada edição, aprimorar e qualificar suas atividades, visando a maior divulgação da atividade mineral e metalúrgica. Além disso, pretende funcionar como uma plataforma para ampliação da rede de contatos e fortalecimento o desenvolvimento profissional, contando com a participação de pesquisadores e profissionais de todo o Brasil.

  Ao longo de seus mais de 50 anos, o ENTMME tem cumprido as seguintes funções:

  Promover a difusão de conhecimentos e tecnologias na área de tratamento de minérios e metalurgia extrativa;

  Facilitar o intercâmbio de conhecimentos e experiências teóricas e práticas entre os profissionais da área;

  Incentivar o intercâmbio científico entre alunos de nível técnico, graduação e pós-graduação e profissionais do setor;

  Fortalecer a colaboração técnica e científica entre universidades, centros de pesquisa e empresas do setor mineral.

  Organizado por pesquisadores ligados a instituições de ensino e pesquisa, o ENTMME tem desempenhado um papel crucial de difusão e atualização do conhecimento, mantendo-se como um ponto de convergência para profissionais e estudantes interessados em avanços científicos e tecnológicos na área minero-metalúrgica. Este ambiente propício ao compartilhamento de informações e práticas industriais inovadoras justifica a realização contínua do evento.

  Beneficiation of Phosphates X

  Phosphate mining is one of the world’s largest mining industries in terms of value of production and annual tonnage. However, papers on phosphate mining and mineral processing are usually rare at most of the major mining as well as mineral processing conferences, both locally and internationally. Beneficiation of Phosphates has been established as the only conference of international significance focusing on phosphate mineral processing.

  Phosphate ore is not only the source of an essential nutrient (P) for plant growth, but it also contains substantial amounts of elements critical to developing green energy for the future. A new era may well be ahead of the phosphate industry, when rare earth elements for EVs and other green energy technologies become as important as fertilizers. Uranium in phosphate deposits account for 88% of the unconventional U resources, while rare earth elements (REEs) in phosphate deposits represent hundreds of years of current world demand for these vital elements. In recent years, the U.S. Department of Energy and funding agencies worldwide have provided large amounts of funding on recovery of REE from unconventional resources including phosphate. Beneficiation of Phosphates X will devote at least two sessions to comprehensive recovery of P and other values from phosphate ore, such as U, REEs, F, Mg, Th, and I.

  Phosphate mining and processing generate two major waste streams, waste clay and phosphogypsum (PG), in huge quantity. These wastes are becoming significant financial and environmental liabilities for the industry and present a public perception problem as well. Championed by the International Fertilizer Association and the Aleff Group, the phosphate community, regulatory agencies and industrial companies are coming together speeding up technology development and commercialization for various uses of PG, and are making a huge impact. Naturally, utilization and treatment of these wastes will be one of the focuses of this conference, with two sessions tentatively scheduled, one on waste reduction and another on waste utilization. Other important issues to be discussed include flotation efficiency, flotation reagents, dolomite separation techniques, reduction of silica content, on-line analysis and process control, novel processing techniques and machinery, and hydrometallurgical processes.

  29TH INTERNATIONAL MINING CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION OF TÜRKİYE IMCET2025

  We have started the preparation work for the 29th International Mining Congress and Exhibition of Turkey, which we will hold together again in Antalya in 2025.

  As usual, we expect a wide range of domestic and international participation in our congress and exhibition, which has been held for 55 years and is one of the most important events not only in our country but also in the world's mining industry, with its scientific/technical quality and high level of participation.

  In our event, which will be held with the main theme of TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION, we aim to convey the scientific and technical developments in the mining industry to large audiences, examine and discuss sector problems, and ensure close communication between researchers, operators, company representatives and managers.

  In this context, 29th International Mining Congress and Exhibition of Türkiye will cover all mining processes from exploration to final use, and aims to be an industrial feast where current and universal themes in the mining industry will be discussed, as well as academic presentations.

  Within the scope of the congress, a widely attended exhibition will be held where the mining industry can showcase its products and services, and this platform is considered extremely important as it will provide communication and cooperation opportunities to sector representatives in this most important event of our country's mining industry.
